I am way too excited for Prince’s two new albums releasing
on September 30th titled Art
Official Age and Plectrumelectrum. The first is a classic Prince album; produced, arranged, composed, and
performed by
the musician (alongside singer- songwriter Joshua Welton), and the latter is a collaboration with the band 3rdEyeGirl. He has already given us a teaser releasing “U Know” and “Clouds” from his new projects, but today he brings us “FUNKNROLL”. It is definitely different from what we’re used to as he starts with a traditional rock intro and leads into an electro-dance beat. I am in love with this track just for the fact of it being a Prince song. I anticipate the album to be no less from the his other albums, and to be another panty- dropper. I don’t know how Prince fans will take the album, but in my opinion it just goes to show that he will never stop evolving and pushing the boundaries. In the words of Prince, “When you stop a man from dreaming, he becomes a slave”. So to all y’all out there reading this, I hope you never stop pursuing your dreams and keep pushing. You are blessed to be given a new day, so give it your all!
